Abstract

• This report provides a review of the aquaculture sector in Malawi, including a comprehensive description of the sector in its current state and the challenges that it is facing. • A number of areas for sector growth and investment opportunities are identified, which should be of interest to existing and potential capital providers. • A responsive strategy is outlined as part of the report, which highlights a need for emerging commercial producer groups in the aquaculture sector to have improved access to capital finance, and anticipates the identification of new intervention areas for investors in the future.
